Joy in Architecture
#spreadthejoy21
The Asian Architects Association is delighted to launch this exciting photography competition to celebrate Joy in Architecture through photography.
The pandemic has highlighted the importance of how we live, work and interact with one another; with the use of photography enabling us to relive memories and feel connected but most importantly capturing those special moments.
As we continue to adapt to the new normal, let us celebrate the joy that architecture brings to our daily lives.
We are interested to see what joy in Architecture means to you. It could be about buildings, people or capturing moments of the everyday; we are open to all interpretations of the theme.

The competition is open to everyone in the United Kingdom, but entrants must not be professional photographers.

Suitability for public display
Subject matter

-
The AAA is aware that digital photography does allow for some image enhancement. You can enter images that have had spots, scratches or other blemishes removed. You can have worked on the colour or enhanced the image for the sake of the composition. However, we will not accept composite images - entries that stitch two or more separate photographs together to make one image, or entries that superimpose elements photographed separately onto an image.

-
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

-
Entrants under the age of 18 will need to include the name, address, contact telephone and email address of their parent or guardian, and the parent or guardian will need to give written consent for their child to take part. This can be in the form of a signed and dated letter and/or email.

-
All digital photos should be labelled in the following format: SURNAME_FORENAME_AAAPhotoComp2021_IMAGE NO (replace NO with 1, 2 or 3)_PHOTO LOCATION

-
We can only accept photos in JPEG format and only up to a maximum size of 3Mb each. Please keep copies of your original files if they are bigger than this, as we may need them later if you are successful.
-
Please email your JPEG digital photograph(s) in the format outlined above, your name, your mobile phone number, location and a screenshot of your follow of our Instagram page to aaaphotocomp@gmail.com with ‘AAA Photography Competition 2021’ as the email subject.
